Three Jewish middle-aged sisters, originally from Brooklyn, come together in London to celebrate the eldest, Sara's, birthday. Sara, a brilliant British banker as well as a divorced single mother, no longer sees the necessity for romance in her life. Gorgeous, a suburban housewife and mother, is also a talk show personality. Pfeni is a journalist who has yet to write her serious book on the woman of Tajkistan. Through Pfeni's boyfriend, Geoffrey, Sara meets Merv and finds that there are possibilities even for a woman in her fifties.
