NEW BEDFORD, MA --- An eight member cast of actors from Massachusetts and Rhode Island has been selected for Your Theatre, Inc.'s production of the comedic farce "Moon Over Buffalo" by Ken Ludwig.

Bob Gillet of Fall River, well-known for having directed plays in a number of New England area theatres, has selected Alison Hutchinson of Plymouth and Robert Duquette of Somerset for the principal roles of Charlotte and George Hay.

New Bedford actors Roger H. Allen and Lucy Bly will play, respectively, Attorney Richard Maynard and Ethel.

Cory David Santos of Fall River will be seen as Howard. Caitlin Robert and Elizabeth Gillin, both of Providence, will be seen, respectively, as Rosalind, and Eileen. Joseph Luca of Cranston, RI will appear as Paul.

Mr. Gillet will be assisted by Maria G. Dawson of West Warwick, RI as the production's stage manager.

Performances of "Moon Over Buffalo" will run Thursdays through Saturdays, May 10-12 and 17-19 and Sundays May 13 and 20, 2012. Evening shows are at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m.

Director Gillet says "This play captures the rich pandemonium that goes into Your Theatre's penchant for staging some shows with hilarious complications producing a high level of comedic effect." He adds that "Ken Ludwig has written a happy, witty, rollicking farce with a whole lot of laughter."

The play centers around the antics of two faded Broadway stars, their theatrical family and assorted friends, all of whom become involved in the mix up when, among other antics, a supporting actor walks out, another heads to a doctor for a pregnancy test, the payroll is two weeks overdue, and the curtain is set to go up on a matinee in an hour.

Calling the play "hilarious", a New York Post drama critic says playwright Ludwig "stuffs it with comic invention, running gags, and a neat sense of absurdity building up its laughs methodically shtick by shtick."

For non-subscribers, ticket prices are $15.00 for all performances. Discounts are available for senior citizens, students, and military personnel. Special group rates are available.
