Neil Simon Comedy Opens September 12 at YTI

NEW BEDFORD --- Opening its 2013-2014 67th season as a fully dedicated community theatre serving Southeastern Massachusetts and surrounding areas, Your Theatre, Inc. will present Neil Simon’s hilarious antics of Army recruits, “Biloxi Blues”, September 12-22, 2013. 

Sponsored in part by Bank Five, a Your Theatre, Inc. corporate sponsor, the play will be directed by Lawrence R. Houbre Jr., of New Bedford The comedy is about the struggles of Eugene Morris Jerome and his fellow recruits to survive the rigors of basic training at an Army boot camp. 

The second in what is known as Simon’s Eugene trilogy, the play follows “Brighton Beach Memoirs”, which Your Theatre successfully produced last season, and precedes “Broadway Bound” on tap for the theatre’s 68th season.

Performances will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m 

All shows will be in the theatre’s performance complex which is handicap accessible at St. Martin’s Church, 136 Rivet St. at County St., New Bedford. Parking is free in the church lot on County St.
