New Bedford---Your Theatre, Inc. director Robin Richard, of New Bedford, has cast five South Coast actors for the March production of Other Desert Cities, by Jon Robin Baitz.

From Seekonk, Ryan Durkay will play the role of Trip Wyeth. Paul E. Kandarian, of Taunton, will portray Lyman Wyeth. From Rehoboth and Barrington, RI, Pam Morgan will play Polly Wyeth. Caroline Paradis, of Fairhaven, will portray Brooke Wyeth, and Nancy Sparklin of Rochester will portray Silda Grauman. The Co-Stage Managers are Traci Antil and Gil Cardona-Erazo, both of New Bedford.

The play follows Brooke Wyeth who returns home to Palm Springs after a six-year absence to celebrate Christmas with her parents, her brother, and her aunt. Brooke announces that she is about to publish a memoir dredging up a pivotal and tragic event in the family’s history – a wound they don’t want reopened. In effect, she draws a line in the sand and dares them all to cross it.

By the creator of television’s Brothers and Sisters, the play is “Astutely drawn…juicy and surprising.”  NY Daily News

“…witty, deeply enjoyable family drama.”  Ben Brantley, NY Times
